RELEVANT IDENTIFIED USES OF THE PRODUCT

Identified Uses: H2S Scavenger for Oil and Gas.

HAZARD

High H2S Levels present Production, Safety, and Health problems in the Oil Industry.

RESOLUTION

Application of HydroPower Green: 

This application may be Batch treatment or in-process flow treatment.

Methodology

  • Chemical free crude oil sample provided by Ripcord was tested to establish the H2S content.
  • Sample recorded a reading of about 60,000ppm of hydrogen sulfide for this analysis.
  • Sour crude oil sample was poured into various prescription bottles (measuring 50mL) and then treated with product Proclean 0.5 and Proclean 1.0 at multiple dosage rates.
  • Treated samples were shaken 100 times after treatment and allowed to sit for 10 minutes.
  • Samples were tested for H2S at various time intervals (H2S readings were taken through gas pull) for proper tracking of product affectivity and reaction speed based on system conditions.
  • Results were logged and computed to ensure that the products selected met their design expectations without showing any form of adverse reaction with field samples.

HydroPower Green  0.5: 1,000ppm and 2,000ppm 

HydroPower Green 1.0: 1,000ppm and 2,000pp

The results demonstrate a large decrease in H2S content over the time period of the test. The 2,000 ppm dosing demonstrated the greatest efficacy.
